Some functionalities of the Aklny app are misunderstood, and certain elements impose a higher cognitive load than intended.
Study goal
Fix UI mistakes that are obvious and, give the app more personality .. get design patterns for some certain flows
Solution & why
Go straight into the design tool and start working on the UI problems like ( layout, typography, colors, grid, spacing)
Why this solution : This particular app had mistakes that are so obvious to just ignore we had to solve those first before going into any advanced research.
The impact
After testing the changes on real users we had a welcoming & positive feedback from users. and the process of buying ingredients is much easier to go through according to data provided by stakeholders.
What I learnt & next steps
Design patterns is a subject that might be overlooked at but just by sticking to patterns that users know already makes the process much easier to go through and to understand.
Next steps: might be trying to conduct additional rounds of usability studies to learn more about the demands of our customers and to determine whether or not there are any problems that still need to be fixed..
